Although we saw some pop of colour and dramatic lashes trending in the Newyork runway, many design houses such as BCBG, Lacoste, LAMB, Vera wang and Tommy Hilfiger opted for a more natural look to accompany their sassy outfits. There was a predominantly neutral colour scheme in the fashion lines of various designers and in my opinion the natural make-up was a perfect complement and it was a good choice for some of the bright and pastel outfits. What makes it even more ideal is it’s practicability off the run-way, it can easily be worn by anyone, anywhere at anytime making it the perfect trend.
Just enough illuminating foundation was used with an occassional touch of warm complementing blush and the result was a flawless naturally radiant skin. The eyes were kept simple with matte or shimmery shadows to highlight the lids combined with simple black liner which in some shows was softly smudged for a dramatic finish. Lips were either nude or had complementing lip color. With everything kept simple, focus was on the eye brow make up in which we saw subtle arched, block or full dark brows.
If you like keeping your make-up simple and natural or are color-shy then Newyork in spring-summer 2012 is the place to be.
Embrace your natural beauty;-)
